About This Guide

The purpose of this guide is to provide examples of reference list and in-text citation entries. These examples are based on the Publication Manual of the American Psychological Association (7th ed.). 

See the two "What's New" pages for selected explanations of differences between editions six and seven of the manual.

What's New in the 7th Edition?

Use the APA Blog as a resource for transitioning from the sixth to the seventh edition of the APA manual.

Remember, reference list entries are double spaced and in hanging indent format. Consult these documents for help with formatting using Word for MacWord for Windows or Google Docs.
