Interlibrary Loan

What is Interlibrary Loan?

Interlibrary Loan (ILL) is used to obtain library materials—for individual study and research—that are not available through the Wellehan Library.

Who May Use ILL?

Interlibrary Loan is available to currently enrolled students.  Use the request forms found on this page or ILL links in some databases.

Delivery Time

Delivery time is usually one to five business days for articles and four to ten business days for books, but sometimes may take longer. We strive to find the quickest method to obtain materials, but we cannot guarantee an exact arrival date.

Cost

Most ILL materials are free.

Occasionally a library will charge to supply a particular article or book. In that case, we will contact you, and the request will not be fulfilled without your approval. Charges will be billed to your school account.

Any book lost or damaged while in your possession will be charged to your school account for replacement costs.

Receiving and Returning

Books are shipped to you via USPS priority mail. We recommend using USPS media mail rate for returns.

Note

Course textbooks and other required readings are not available through Interlibrary Loan.
