This Guide will walk you through some of the basic functions in the Quiz tool in Brightspace. Learn how to view and grade quiz attempts and create questions in the Question Library (which you can use in multiple quizzes).
Please note that the Quiz tool in Brightspace, like Gradebook, is one of the more robust features. We are happy to help with any questions or concerns you have, so please do not hesitate to reach out to asktei@sjcme.edu.
What is the Question Library?
Think of the Question Library as a repository for all of your quiz questions. You can then pick and choose which questions you wish to use in a quiz. You can also organize your Question Library by sections for easy access to created questions. Also, you can import publisher quiz materials into your question library as well.

Why Would I View and Grade a Manually-Graded Quiz Attempt?
Of course, you probably already know the answer to that question. Manually-graded quizzes, such as written response (essay) questions must be manually graded in Brightspace.
Note: Some quiz question types, such as Short Answer, appear to be automatically graded by Brightspace. However, we highly recommend reviewing Short Answer quiz questions to make sure Brightspace has correctly identified right and wrong answers.
